Yellow Kantha Throw
Warm turmeric and mustard yellow tones bring a touch of South Asia to your living room, bedroom, or whichever corner of your home is in need of a softening vintage touch.
Made from 100% cotton reclaimed saris, this throw has been stitched together using the traditional art of kantha embroidery, for a layered, textured piece that is at home wherever you want to use it:
- A chair or sofa throw
- A summer bed cover
- A picnic rug
- Or just a lightweight blanket to cosy up under
Supporting women in Bangladesh
All our Kantha throws are sourced from a responsible supplier in Jaipur, who works directly with artisans and adheres to the strictest of Fair Trade standards. The throws are hand stitched by women in Bangladesh who have escaped sex trafficking and now earn a fair wage for their craftsmanship.
Reused saris for greater sustainability
All our kantha throws are made up of six layers of reclaimed saris. The fabric, which is too beautiful to be discarded, is given a new lease of life with the embroidery art of kantha. Because the kantha’s use vintage fabric, you can expect some variations in the photos and a mark or two - but these merely tell a story of these unique throws which are carefully stitched and brimming with character.
